Miranda

Teen Love Poetry by Matthew J. Beard

Miranda.
I know this name too well.
All too bloody well
(Then it all goes down to Hell)
She seems to always eye me
Always eye me,
Maybe even like me.
One, stepped on my pride
Two, she's one who I confide
Three, Well, she doesn't even know me... yet.

I seem to know her,
Funny how things change yet always stay the same.
I dig deep for confidence and I think too much
Don't want to have her on my mind
But still I don't mind
Stay still while I read you a poem.
So many people I have forgotten.
Sometimes we wish we were never begotten
The fruits of my labor turning rotten
