In Austin's Words Unfair Taxes

The Rich And Taxes
Some Quotes From The Washington Post

The rich pay most the taxes in this free country of America, right?...uhhh well ok not really because there are Unfair Taxes.

There have been many instances and data that show that the rich and especially the super rich actually get taxed less than the blue collar workers in America. Many people whom are already rich or poor for that matter disagree with this statement, but unfortunately most of them don’t understand how the system works enough to see how the SUPER rich are getting away with it. Warren Buffet, who has long been in the top 3 RICHEST people in the WORLD and sometimes the RICHEST. He's been quoted for saying that he pays a lower rate of tax then his employees and secretary. He said that he only pays about 17.7 percent tax on the MILLIONS that he makes while his secretary pays about 30 percent, says the WASHINGTON POST.The greedy bastard who owns millions of shares of Coca-Cola comes out and admits that he is taxed less.

If you know the system, he is taxed less due to the fact that a lot of the super rich like him make money off of capital gains that come from stocks and companies appreciating in value like Coke and Wal-Mart. These long term capital gains are taxed at a much lower rate than money that is earned by people i.e. like his secretary. The only problem with this formula is that the Rich are usually the ones who make most the money from long term capital gains via different markets (i.e. stocks, bonds, real estate, corporations etc., etc.) This is just one of the ways that the super rich avoid heavy taxation AND they aren't even using any loop-holes. These are just legal tax rates that have been set down by the government. See why I hate too much government?

In the Washington Post Buffet claims that was despite the fact that he was not trying to avoid paying higher taxes, "I don't have a tax shelter." Why then if we have a just government do the Rich people and especially the super wealthy keep getting taxed less, and why doesn't the government do something about this? Below he himself admits in our faces that the tax system like most things in America is corrupt. What people shouldn't be confused about is the amount paid in dollars and the percent. It Is true that the rich pay more taxes than the poor and middle class in terms of a dollar amount. Take Buffet for instance if he is only paying 18% on his 1 billion this year and you are paying 30% on your 50 thousand then he is paying a lot MORE taxes in terms of JUST DOLLARS, however the percent that you are paying is higher. Tax charts in the United States frequently show how much in terms of dollars the rich pay vs. the poor which is skewed since it is the percent paid that counts.
