This is Poetry About Life but hey, I can't tell you what to think...

My Window

Poetry About Life by Matthew J. Beard

Balance melts up on my window of faith
From afar to see clearer
Wishing to belong in a different sphere

Not of the one I see through narrow vision

But to make my decision
To stear clear of
Negativity, thereof
To see clearer in another
Opened sphere
I am mortal meant for such a portal
Here comes pride,
In through your window
And here come the mortal stride
There goes pride
Out through the window
And here comes my immortal stride...

We've been "talking"
For far too long
Feelings are strong
Speaking our minds
May cause heart-aches,
And a lotta mistakes.

What I do,
I do not for myself
And not for you
But for us
So thus
We need to listen again.
We've got something to say
But taken from the way
We need to listen again
Some more
Once on our island flourishing,
Now barren,
And we emerge so very lost
In our own ways
Let's not begin to start like this again.
No, it now appears quite often
Slipping through teeth-clenched mouths
And out it emerges through us
Like power this surges
Rebuilt all our ruins
But hey!
Leave the spoils
For they don't belong to us.
Only the open minded,
Wise fool who likes to listen,
Oh how he is loyal,
May gather.
