This is Sad Poetry but hey, I can't tell you what to think...
Wake up and Smell the Fascism
Sad Poetry
By Matthew J. Beard
Wake up and smell the fascism!
Thousands of innocent women, men and children
Are dying day by day for a war for misdirection
While your rights are taken away
We disapprovingly watch as the corrupt elite
Manufacture a phony terrorist scare pumped out by the media
And feed the fattened military industrial complex with your taxes
Our lady liberty has been raped
While the assailants send your youth off to ingest Depleted Uranium
Into their bodies in the middle east ruining whatever chances
They have of procreating healthy offspring
Meanwhile at home parents and youth
Struggle to make ends meet working multiple jobs
And if theyre seen by the government as impeding progress
Theyll be considered enemy combatants while their property is seized
By the FBI and CIA as their children are sexually and mentally tortured
While youre pressured as your so called government calls it!
And dont worry, they can justify everything by calling you a terrorist
Through the Department of Homeland Security!
So tell me,
If a bully were slowly drilling a hole in your head
Would you lie there and just take it?
(Statistics show youre more likely to be struck by lightning
Than to be a victim of an act of terrorism)
Its a witch hunt for your mind
They chase you down like dogs
While you stare like a zombie
Into the TV screen
Its a blitzkrieg on your freedom
To convince you to give it up
Its a war for Blood and Kingdom
Only this time youre the enemy
Dont forget the past,
Wake to the present
We can make it last
Or we can end it.
Oh but thats not all
If your dictator Bush declares a national emergency for any reason
Martial Law is enacted
This means your policemen will be equipped
With machine guns and batons
To treat you like there terrorist they think you may be
Bush has already declared hes above the law
And already signed a treaty without notifying Congress
You wanted a silenced whore but theres more
And now Im breaking down your door
